High School Diploma & Credits
We have graduated over 1,900+ students, with 60% or more seeking further education. We have been successful in seeing them attend the college of their choice. Our Standard High School diploma and transcripts are accepted by colleges and universities. In order to receive a diploma of graduation, a student must meet all graduation requirements as follows:
- Must be enrolled for at least one year in CCA
- Must complete a minimum of 6 credits thru CCA
- Must have a 2.00 GPA or better.
- Take either the SAT or ACT college assessment tests one time.
- We follow Florida State guidelines for courses needed for graduation. We use the traditional 24 credit route which can be used for college bound or general students. We will adjust credits required to your state’s guidelines, if requested. See the table below for the required credits needed.
We offer high school electives in several subject areas as seen on the previous pages. We also give credits to non-academic PACE courses such as Work Experience, Music Lessons, Volunteer work, and Team Sports. Some students, after they have turned 16 and have entered the eleventh grade, may earn credits through dual-enrollment with a local community college. They can only take courses we do not offer and our office must approve all arrangements made with a community college.
We do not offer a graduation ceremony. This is left up to each graduate’s family to arrange. We have sources for Caps & Gowns and Invitations. There is a diploma fee of $75.00.
